Dr Lim Min Yu is a highly regarded Obstetrician, Gynaecologist, and Fertility Specialist who brings over two decades of expertise in assisted reproductive techniques, with a particular focus on in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), gynae-laparoscopic surgery and pregnancy. 

Dr Lim is deeply engaged in cutting-edge research in reproductive medicine. He is a co-investigator in three ongoing studies focusing on preimplantation genetic screening, time-lapse monitoring for embryo selection, and chromosome copy number analysis. These studies aim to enhance IVF success rates and reduce miscarriage rates, reflecting Dr Lim’s commitment to advancing the field of reproductive medicine.

Since 2012, Dr Lim has been an active speaker, presenting at numerous conferences. His most recent presentation, titled “Elective Egg Freezing: Evidence, Guidelines, and Controversies,” highlights his dedication to sharing knowledge and insights in his field. In addition to his speaking engagements, Dr Lim has contributed to the literature by publishing book chapters on topics such as “Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Pelvic Inflammatory Disease” and “Female Infertility” in the book “Integrated Approach to Obstetrics and Gynaecology.” He has also authored multiple poster presentations, abstracts, peer-reviewed papers, and reviewed articles.

Dr Lim studied Medicine at the University of Glasgow and completed his specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in the West of Scotland. He also underwent advanced training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Subfertility, as well as Laparoscopic Surgery. A member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) since 2005, he became a Fellow of the RCOG in 2018. Dr Lim returned to Singapore with his family in 2010.

Prior to entering private practice, he served as a consultant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the National University Hospital (NUH) in Singapore. He was the Program Director of the OBGYN residency at National University Health Systems and an Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore. Dr Lim continues to contribute to medical education as a Visiting Consultant to NUH, where he trains the next generation of OBGYN doctors through his participation in the PROMPT obstetric emergency workshop faculty.

Representing his colleagues and peers, Dr Lim is a past President of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Singapore (OGSS) and Chair of the Singapore International Representative Committee of the RCOG. His dedication to his patients and his field has earned him a distinguished reputation in reproductive medicine.
